Welcome to the first blog in my series - Scene at Home - all about recreating iconic set design from TV and films. Without further ado, let's jump in!
I think this opinion is going to cause some controversy: I enjoyed Killing Eve more than the Bodyguard! Every episode had me falling more in love with the dark quirky humour and gorgeous cinematography. If you haven't seen it yet, the whole series (fair warning: there are some gory moments) is on BBC iPlayer, perfect for those dark winter evenings.

Once you've binged through it all, you'll be left lusting after Villanelle's fashion and her chic Paris apartment (actually a film set). Check out my moodboard below for some easy ways to inject dark romantic Villanelle vibes into your home.

From top left clockwise: smokey pendant light; green bedspread; House of Hackney cushion; art deco mirror; monkey candlestick holder; Solitude print; velvet stool; art deco table lamp; pink linen duvet set; champagne; chevron flooring.
Some of the more iconic pieces such as the green throw and the large wardrobe are actually antiques, sites like 1stdibs have a large selection. The set designers sourced pieces that looked as if though they would have come from Villanelle's travels meaning you can easily pull this look off using your own collections! Combine with luxurious textiles, vintage furniture and accessories with a dark humour and quirkiness to achieve this style.
